The Malanda Dairy Centre is located in the friendly township of Malanda. Set against a backdrop of rolling green hills, world-heritage listed rainforests and amazing waterfalls, the Malanda Dairy Centre is a tribute to the pioneers who lived and farmed in the area over a century ago.
The Malanda Dairy Centre features a museum, which is part of the Queensland Heritage Trails Network, where you can take a step back in time and share the experiences of the Tablelands' first dairy farmers. The museum features traditional life displays, information boards, sound scapes and artefacts providing an insight into the region's development.
Visitors can take the guided tour through the modern and operational dairy factory. The guided tour is unique and extremely informative as our experienced guides are third generation dairy farmers who can provide an insight into all aspects of the dairy industry. Watch and experience the processing of milk and the making of delicious cheese.
The Malanda Dairy Centre proudly supports locally grown produce such as coffee, tea, fruit, vegetables, meats and cheese. You can sample delicious local produce when dining in the restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch. The wonderful atmosphere, great menu, historical displays and local arts and craft makes the Malanda Dairy Centre an ideal place to visit when on the Tablelands.
