28. Ipswich
Global Arts Link
Located in Ipswich's beautifully rejuvenated Old Town Hall
and extended exhibition space, Global Arts Link is both a
dynamic modern art gallery and social history museum where
visitors and locals can discover the rich heritage of this
early Queensland city.
Global Arts Link features an international museum standard
gallery designed to house a range of local, national and international
exhibitions and introducing a new standard of gallery space
to Ipswich and regional Queensland. Enthusiastically embraced
by its community, Global Arts Link features the hugely popular
Energex Children's Gallery - Lottie's Place, Australia's first
permanently dedicated children's gallery in Australia.

Ipswich
The Workshops Rail Museum Queensland
The birthplace of Queensland's railways, The Workshops at
the North Ipswich rail yards, is being revived and developed
into a journey through the history of our railways from their
beginnings to the high-tech Tilt Trains that will be unmatched
throughout Australia. The visitor experience ranges from seeing
firsthand the restoration of the significant QR Heritage Fleet
to the simulation of driving the future in transport - the
high-speed Tilt Train.

29. Cobb & Co. Museum, Toowoomba
Capturing the era when coaches and horses were the lifeline
of rural settlements, Cobb & Co. Museum combines the largest
collection of surviving coaches with fascinating interactive
displays of the people and history of the Darling Downs.
Through the project, Queensland Museum staff have helped the
Toowoomba community preserve the stories of their natural
environment, indigenous people and pioneering history before
they disappear.

30. Glengallan Homestead, near Warwick
Glengallan is emerging from the ruins of the 1867 homestead
for visitors to walk back through time and re-live the story
of a once great pastoral station. Some rooms are being left
as they are, showing the ravages of time and neglect that
is an integral part of Glengallan's history. Without the support
of the Queensland Heritage Trails Network to help preserve
the building, Queensland would have lost this fabulous testament
to our pastoral heritage.

31. Jondaryan Woolshed, Jondaryan
Queensland's largest historic woolshed, the Jondaryan Woolshed
has been restored as a living tribute to the Darling Downs'
pastoral history. Step back in time and watch sheep being
shorn, sheep dogs at work, take a ride in a horse-drawn cart
or enjoy a picnic under the shady trees. Through the Network
restoring such a significant part of the development of the
Darling Downs, visitors can understand what it would have
been like to work on a sheep station 100 years ago and the
advances made to enhance our wool production processes over
the years.

32. Dogwood Crossing @ Miles
A brand new cultural facility in Miles, the Dogwood Crossing
@ Miles centre will house an art gallery, social history space,
library and IT centre, providing a contemporary addition to
the town's renowned Historical Village. Created by the residents
of Miles and the Murilla Shire, four hours north-west of Brisbane,
the centre will capture the stories of its land and people,
their history, their present day lives and aspirations.
